the difference between an element and a compound
An element is a type of chemical that is made up of one kind of atom. In other words it is a kind of atom. A compound is a mixture of two or more elements that are brought together by a chemical bond. A couple examples of an element are nitrogen or hydrogen, while a couple examples of compounds are basic water and table salt.
